Susana gets a prime speaking spot at Republican convention

It’s not the keynote address, but it’s a pretty good spot in the lineup.
Capitol Report New Mexico has learned that New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez will get a prime time appearance at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, appearing right before New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver the convention’s keynote address.
Gov. Martinez — the first female Hispanic governor in the nation’s history — will be the second-to-last speaker of the night next Tuesday, Aug. 28, just before Christie makes his remarks and after a number of GOP high-profile names such as John Kasich and Bobby Jindal speak.Here’s the lineup for the evening:
