So far we have published the top salaries for Albuquerque, Bernalillo County and Rio Rancho. Bernalillo County manager Thomas Zdunek continues to be the highest paid local employee we have found, pulling down just ten cents short of $148,000 annually.
Santa Fe’s pay scale for the top 250 earners comes in second to Albuquerque. The top 250 salaries in Albuquerque city government exceeded $81,600. Rio Rancho’s top 250 passed $43,514. Numbers 250 and up in Bernalillo County government received just over $58,000.
It is noteworthy that there are far fewer people on Santa Fe’s payroll earning over $100,000 than for the other local governments we have studied. Albuquerque has 58 people above that mark. Bernalillo County has eleven. Rio Rancho has six. Santa Fe has only three employees earning above $100,000.
The City of Santa Fe was quite responsive to our request for this listing. We had asked only for the top 250 salaries, and they provided the entire payroll.

I wish you had a direct link to all this salary information you mention. I don’t have a Yahoo account or Google account. Why should I have to sign up for them and risk identity theft to see your posted links?
