YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK, OR MAYBE NOT

Earthstone International got $9 million, free and clear, thanks to Governor Bill Richardson.  So what did we get in return? We’ve been on this story over a year, first reporting the fact they never built the plant in Santa Teresa, NM that Richardson said they would build.  Then we exposed their financial hijinks.

The co-founder of Earthstone International, Gay Dillingham, has been a significant financial contributor to Richardson and his appointee to the Environmental Improvement Board. She has spoken in favor of the EIB considering  a CO2 emissions cap on New Mexico industry.
