Open Forum for Probation and Parole Employees

Our comments section has turned into an open forum for gripes and coutergripes by employees of the Probation and Parole Division of the New Mexico Department of Corrections. That’s fine by us. Keep the conversation going. But I have had to delete or block a few comments that made sexual innuendos, alleged criminal offenses and were beyond vile. That happens in open comments sections, and that’s why I moderate comments. (So do sites like Huffington Post. I know of a woman in Denver who gets more than $40,000 to just read and moderate comments, all day long).
I can’t dedicate myself exclusively to PPD stories. I have other work to do, like continuing to shine light on the $500 million industrial revenue bond proposal for the Green2V plant in Rio Rancho. (That’s kind of a big deal). But the mess at PPD is also a big deal. I’ll get back to that. I have tons of tips and forwarded e-mails, court records, and more to keep me busy. Things really do seem to be an awful mess in that corner of state of government.
So keep up the conversation. But do show restraint and discretion. Here are links to the stories where the conversation follows in the comments section:
